If you like The JoyGram, please share it with your friends. I have set an intention to have 500 subscribers by the end of the year. The way that will happen is for you to recommend it to others. Help me spread Joy by sharing it. If you know someone who you think would like a Coaching for God scholarship, please forward The JoyGram to them as well.

VITAL: ADDITIONAL COACHING FOR GOD SCHOLARSHIPS!!
On December 1, 2003, I will give three more Coaching for God scholarships so if you want to send an application for the next round, please do so. The deadline for application is November 21, 2003.

Just send an email to me at thejoycoach@arn.net or use the easy form at the end of this newsletter. Tell me why you want the scholarship. The qualifications are a profound desire to make the Divine the conscious center of your life and the willingness to discover and let go of whatever is preventing you from realizing that.

The scholarship includes a written inventory, a 90-minute intake session and eleven 30-minute coaching sessions.

Here's what a former recipient recently said about the experience of having a Coach for God: "I feel that my heart, mind, body, and soul, and most importantly, my inner being have been simply transformed by our time together, Peggy. God has embraced me and helped me to grow through you like nothing I've ever experienced before." B.C., St. Louis, Mo.

WHAT SCARES YOU?

My Webmaster sent me a little spider confetti with her statement this month. When it fell out on the desk, I jumped and then I laughed. It was Halloween and I was amused at the little prank.

I was driving slowly through a parking lot this morning when a car backfired very loudly. I jumped and then I felt angry. Last week, a driver behind me honked at me at a stop light. I jumped and then I was annoyed because the light had just turned green and no one else had moved either.

I've been asking myself what my learning opportunity is. What's different about these situations? What's the same? The similarity is that something startled or scared me. The difference is what I told myself then about the situation and the persons involved. I had judgments...

My Webmaster is a delightful, loving lady with a sense of humor and her little spider (which is still laying on my desk) conveyed, I thought, "I'm teasing you because I like you."

I know nothing about the lady who honked at me when the traffic light turned green. I told myself she was rude and impatient; she might have been on her way to a critically important meeting or the hospital or the bathroom.

The backfire which scared me in the parking lot could have been an accident. I was mad because it sounded like a gunshot for a moment and I was looking for a place to hide! I told myself the driver should take better care of his car because he could give someone a heart attack. The possibility exists that the car had never done that before and it could have scared that person as much or more than it did me.

So, I was startled by sudden and unexpected events. What made the difference in how I felt about them then were my judgments. I've been wondering if I were free of judgment, would I also be free of fear? And how much more space would there be in me for the Divine, for Love, for JOY!?!!!

I think I'm going to get me a bunch of little confetti spiders to remind me to see without judgment.

"What would God choose to SEE now? ...What choice would you make in any given moment if you knew that you are one with God?...Know that this simple question has the power to change the way you SEE everything...In essence, this question, properly understood, will change the world."

-from the Daily Spiritual Peacemaking Lessons, Day 126, James Twyman
