If you want to send an application for the next round of scholarships,
do it now. The deadline for application is March 30, 2003.Three
more scholarships will be awarded on April 1st! The Fool is actually
the Wise One in the centuries-old Tarot tradition so BE an April

you want the scholarship. The qualifications are a profound desire
to make the Divine the conscious center of your life, the willingness
to discover and let go of what's in your way, and the willingness
to embrace your own legacy -- you ARE a Creation of the Divine.
The
scholarship includes a written inventory, a 90-minute intake session
and eleven 30-minute coaching sessions.
Here's
what a former recipient recently said about the experience of having
a Coach for God: "I feel that my heart, mind, body, and soul, and
most importantly, my inner being have been simply transformed by
our time together, Peggy. God has embraced me and helped me to grow
through you like nothing I've ever experienced before." B.C., St.
Louis, Mo.
HOW OKAY ARE YOU
WITH BEING OKAY?
That's
a catchy kind of question and I thought it was pretty clever when
I heard myself ask it of a student. Now it just does not seem clear
enough. What I want to ask, what I want to shout actually is...
HOW OKAY ARE YOU WITH BEING HAPPY? HOW
OKAY ARE YOU WITH FEELING GOOD--NOT JUST SOMETIMES BUT ALL OF THE
TIME?
But, Peggy! I can almost hear you saying. It's not realistic to
think I can be happy or feel good all the time. The world is hard.
There are terrible things going on around us. People are starving.
Children are being abused and murdered. There is crime. There is
suffering. How can I feel good when I see so many people hurting!?!!
What
if the way you can most help the world is to feel good regardless
of the circumstances you are seeing? What if that is the ONLY lasting
and real way you can help? What
if YOUR joy is the crucial, absolutely irreplaceable, truly magical
ingredient for peace and joy in the world?
This
does NOT mean that we don't take appropriate, helpful, kind, and
loving action. It does mean that we be willing to embrace that there
is a bigger picture and trust that in the larger scheme everything
and everyone is okay. We are all here to learn that it's better
to be happy than to be unhappy. We are here to experience contrasts
so that we can choose the experiences that feel good. We are not
gaining merit by choosing to suffer and seeing others as sufferers.
We are simply delaying happiness.
But, Peggy, I can't feel good when my best friend is struggling
with an abusive husband and a child in trouble at school! I can't
be joyful when my vacation is spoiled by encountering an animal
that's been injured. I am saying that you will help your friend
most by being happy, by focusing on the positive aspects of life
that are everywhere and are being overlooked when you're focusing
on problems. You can help her most by setting the example of choosing
to feel good, of seeing her as a powerful being who CAN change her
circumstances when she decides that it's important to feel good.
Anything
else is supporting her victimization. You can suffer about the animal
or you can take an appropriate action like enlisting the help of
a vet and then trusting that, like you, the animal is profoundly
okay in the bigger picture.
When
you decide that it's okay to be okay, it's okay to feel good, and
it's okay to make that the priority in your life, I promise you
that it WILL FEEL GOOD! It's the Law. So, how okay are you
with Being Okay?
A
Noticing: We used to say "Neat!" when something delighted us or
we wanted to express approval. Then that changed to "Cool!" Now,
the word is "Sweet!" When I think about what these words express
about our ever-changing world, I like the new slang best.
Sweet. Sweet indeed! PJ
