Here's
what a former recipient recently said about the experience of having
a Coach for God: "I feel that my heart, mind, body, and soul, and
most importantly, my inner being have been simply transformed by
our time together, Peggy. God has embraced me and helped me to grow
through you like nothing I've ever experienced before." B.C., St.
Louis, Mo.
INNER
SPACE
How's
your space?
If
you focus on the debris of the past, old disappointments, hurts,
judgments and unmet expectations, chances are good that your external
surroundings are cluttered too. What you think about and the emotions
that arise from your thoughts attract to you the circumstances and
stuff of your external experiences.
One
of my clients has been powerfully reminding me about this universal
law. A few weeks ago, I told her about living inside-out and related
one of the stories in Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen's book Kitchen Table
Wisdom.
In
Dr. Remen's narrative, Ana was a Vietnamese woman who'd endured
unimaginable horrors as a small child in Vietnam and had become
ruthless in order to survive. She believed herself to be totally
bad and beyond redemption; she would say "I have such darkness within
me." Then Ana had a dream. She walked into that darkness within
herself and discovered a single, perfect rosebud in the softest,
most tender, most exquisite shade of pink. The rosebud was her heart
and it had been waiting for her to come back for it. When I told
the story, I said it was her soul and that nothing Ana had ever
experienced or done had touched it.
My
client went into her own darkness that week and she discovered a
diamond. A flawless, brilliant, scintillating diamond. In her inner
space, she's continued to discover balance and order and beauty.
And
she is slowly bringing that same balance and order into her outer
space. She's seeing the people around her with new eyes. A cousin
who's always seemed to resent her commented on how good she looks.
She's keeping her home orderly and clean. She's tackling the chaos
in her office. This beautiful woman is transforming her outer space
by first transforming her inner space.
The
way to freedom lies within.
